The Rising star series slated for one full month with about hundred concerts involving about 800 artistes is popularly known as “The Gokulashtami Sangeetha Utsavam” coinciding with the Janmashtami of Lord Krishna in the months of August & September. This music festival is looked upon as a major event of the year by the Rasika public evincing keen interest year after year. The talent promotion scheme of the young artistes, considered the forte of the Krishna Gana Sabha for over 45 years, has nurtured many of the current top-ranking artists. The merit of the talented youngsters is judged by a panel of judges and prizes are awarded to encourage them to further their interest.
